Defining and Non-Defining Relative Clauses

Hello Class!

1) GRAMMAR: First, you can go to the FOCUS ON GRAMMAR program which is on the computer lab computers, not online, and research the menu to find the chapter for Defining and Non-defining Relative Clauses. Also, you can do a search on the internet for similar grammar lessons. We will review these clauses this week. Here's an internet link that has a good explanation of the grammar points:

2) ACTIVITY: We began Unit 3 this week, which has information about traveling around the world.

Question: What city do you think would be a perfect city for the next summer Olympics? Why? Do research on the internet to support your idea(s).

3) And Don't Forget! Hands Across California!
Attention CEC students past and present, family and friends:

On April 17th at 2pm, come early, at 1:45p,to PCC CEC and show your support to keep the doors open, and keep ESL classes going strong, yes, the budget is that bad! We need 1,000 people at PCC-CEC to stretch 1 mile to main campus. Be there! Ryan Seacrest is on-board and President Bill Clinton. See you on the 17th!

This VERY important. Bring your friends and family of all ages for about 1 hour, between 2pm and 3pm at CEC.
